Aaron S. Dumont is a leading figure in cerebrovascular and spinal neurosurgery, whose work bridges acute stroke intervention and complex spinal pathology. He is best known for advancing telestroke networks, demonstrating through his highly cited 2013 study (69 citations) that intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (IV-tPA) can be safely and effectively administered in community hospitals when guided by remote stroke specialists.
