About

Yinhuai Wang is a leading Chinese urological surgeon and researcher whose work centers on optimizing surgical outcomes for prostate cancer patients, particularly through robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). His major contributions lie in advancing fast-track surgery (FTS) protocols, which integrate evidence-based perioperative adjustments to reduce complications, accelerate recovery, and shorten hospital stays. In a pivotal 2018 study (18 citations), Wang demonstrated the safety and efficacy of FTS in a Chinese cohort, establishing a new standard for postoperative care. He has also pioneered innovative techniques for controlling the dorsal vascular complex (DVC), including a ligation-free approach that minimizes blood loss and improves urinary continence without increasing positive surgical margins. His 2023 review (9 citations) synthesizes the evolution of DVC control strategies from open to robotic surgery. Additionally, Wang developed and validated risk-prediction nomograms for venous thromboembolism after RARP (2022, 5 citations), addressing a leading cause of postoperative mortality. With a focused portfolio of highly cited work, Wang is shaping the future of minimally invasive prostate cancer surgery, blending technical innovation with patient-centered recovery pathways.
