Vaibhav Sanjay is a robotics researcher whose work centers on active perception, localization, and autonomous navigation in challenging, perception-denied environments. His key contribution is the development of DyFOS (Dynamic Finding of Optimal States), a novel active perception framework that enables a rover to dynamically select optimal sensor states to minimize localization uncertainty while simultaneously avoiding obstacles and occlusions.
