P. Ausset is a leading figure in atmospheric chemistry and aerosol science, with a primary focus on the physical and chemical characterization of mineral dust. Her most impactful work stems from the African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Analysis (AMMA) project, where she played a key role in the Dust and Biomass-Burning Experiment (DABEX) field campaign in Niger.
