Norman P. Jouppi is a pioneering computer architect whose research has fundamentally shaped modern computing, from high-performance processors to immersive telepresence systems. While widely celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to memory systems and storage architecture—including the invention of the "streaming memory controller" and key work on CACTI, a cache access and cycle time model—his most cited work explores the future of human interaction.
