Dr. Marion MacFarlane is a leading cell death researcher whose work has fundamentally shaped our understanding of the mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis. Her research focuses on the molecular architecture and regulation of the apoptosome, the critical caspase-activating complex that executes programmed cell death.
