About
M. Mallonn is an astronomer specializing in exoplanet characterization and high-resolution spectroscopy. Their research focuses on refining the orbital parameters of transiting exoplanets and advancing the instrumental capabilities needed for precise stellar and planetary measurements. A key contribution is their leadership in the ORBYTS (Original Research by Young Twinkle Students) program, which produced the highly cited 2020 paper "Ephemeris refinement of transiting exoplanets" (36 citations). This work combined robotic telescope networks, citizen astronomer data, and TESS observations to reduce transit-time uncertainties for exoplanets, enabling more accurate follow-up studies.
