Abstract

Optical fiber shape sensing technology has attracted widespread attention in fields such as aerospace landing equipment, precision interventional diagnosis, and soft robots. Curvature, being a pivotal parameter in shape sensing technology, demands precise and real-time measurement. In this study, distributed curvature sensing based on helical weak gratings fiber bundle and optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) is proposed. The influence of the weak gratings fiber bundle and cross-correlation algorithm in the demodulation are demonstrated.
