Abstract

In the context of an aging society, the demand for palliative care is rapidly increasing. This study explores an innovative approach to enhance the quality of life for elderly patients in community hospitals through the use of personalized digital companion robots, blending artistic design with advanced predictive models. We integrate artistic creativity to tailor digital personas of varying roles, while employing large-scale predictive models to generate adaptive linguistic interaction models. The effectiveness and user experience of this method are evaluated through several case studies, where quantitative measures are employed to assess the impact. Results indicate that these customized digital companions significantly alleviate feelings of loneliness and psychological distress among elderly patients, offering new possibilities for future palliative care practices.
