Abstract

The paper describes a setup for non-destructive testing of composite combat helmets using Terahertz Time Domain Spectroscopy (TDS) imaging and an industrial robot arm. The article presents the components of the setup and a description of the method for determining the robot's motion path during scanning process. To evaluate the measurement method, tests were conducted on a helmet with prepared defects. The obtained results confirmed the capability of effectively detecting defects with a diameter exceeding 0.5 cm2.
