Abstract

We conduct Project Based Learning training for third-year students in the robotics course of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The following improvements and covid-19 countermeasures were made for the robot hand PBL newly planned in 2019. In order to raise students’ motivation and learning consciousness, we conducted individual interviews and followed up on the goals set by the students. During the period when students were prohibited from attending school, we held a distance lesson to learn how to use a microcomputer using a simulator on the web and a planning presentation using Zoom. After the face-to-face lessons became possible, we took measures against infection such as setting partitions and wearing masks, and all the groups were able to accomplish the tasks safely, and the students felt a sense of accomplishment in this training.
