Abstract

We conduct Project Based Learning training for third-year students in the robotics course of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The purpose of this lecture is to develop engineering design skills. Students learn how to design and solve problems that meet constraints, and acquire knowledge application, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork skills. In 2019, a new theme on robot hands was launched. The task is to hold and transport the tennis ball, ping-pong ball, and fried sample to be gripped with one kind of hand. As milestones, a plan announcement, an interim announcement, a demonstration, and a final announcement were set, and the production progress was managed. In this report, we report on the implementation status, products, and impressions of students.
