Abstract

The world of artificial intelligence (AI), fifth-generation data networks (5G), the rapidly growing internet of things devices, and sixth-generation network can be very helpful to us but also present numerous flaws in terms of privacy, security, and cybercrimes, as they are all new and rapidly developing technologies. One of the significant developments is in the techniques and tools that redeveloped with the support of AI and machine learning (ML). 5G has an increased attack surface compared to the other generations of wireless networks. Recently AI has played a defining role in advances in many scientific and technological fields, including robotics, image recognition, natural language, expert systems, and much more. The chapter looks at the shortcomings and limitations of traditional security measures and the subsequent progress being made by AI and ML developments in the cybersecurity field.
