Abstract

Melt Electrowriting In article number 2209244, Carlos Sánchez-Somolinos and co-workers report on the melt electrowriting of liquid crystal elastomers to digitally position ultrafine fibers with controlled morphology. The presented methodology enables the preparation of well-defined, high-aspect-ratio scaffolds with small dimensions hardly accessible with conventional extrusion-based printing techniques. This printing platform enables the preparation of stimuli-responsive miniaturized structures for biomedical and soft robotic applications.
