Abstract
This paper presents the development of an automated orchard that integrates a cartesian robot, information technologies enabling a 4.0-level industrial connection, a mechanic claw and several additional tools that allow the user to schedule rutinary domestic farming tasks and efficiently manage those tasks through web applications. The automated orchard can execute previously planified tasks that span time ranges of days and weeks. It also allows to develop grow quality control strategies for the vegetables and to move the vegetables from one position to another by using mechanic claws specifically devised for that purpose. Several applications with the automated orchard are shown.
