Training program in robotic thoracic surgery

Abstract

Since the introduction of current robotic-assisted surgery into surgical practice in 2000, the number of surgeries performed continues to increase. There are approximately 4,500 robotic platforms fully operational worldwide (Figure 1). Approximately half of these are located in the United States.
