Abstract
Between VEX Robotics, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics, LEGO® MINDSTORMS ® and the recent insurgence of drones, robotics is on the rise on the U. S. educational scene (Robinson, 2014). Whether it's autonomous programming or driver-controlled challenges, students are excited and interested in anything related to robotics. As a teacher, you can choose a well-known brand (e.g., VEX, LEGO, etc.) or follow the maker movement or the do-it-yourself culture. No matter what you choose, incorporating robotics into your classroom is an effective way to motivate and excite your students.
