Design and Development of An Automated Mobile Robot for Hospital Care Services

Abstract
Robot demand in the clinical sector has significantly increased recently, mostly due to the rising number of COVID- 19 patients. SARS-CoV-2 is mostly spread through close human contact and contact with contaminated objects and surfaces. As a result, the practice of social distancing has become an essential preventive intervention. Due to this, patients must receive medical care with little doctor-patient contact. Robotics are being used in the hospital to protect front-line healthcare personnel from possible coronavirus contamination, while also reducing the need for medical professionals by enabling robots to assume some medical responsibilities to a certain extent. This paper described the design and development process of the automated robot for hospital care services, as well the the testing of this mobile robot movement control using omni wheels.
