Abstract

The real fish has the high efficiency of its propulsion and maneuvering mechanism, in order to design a bionic robotic fish with the good movement performance, this paper presents the bionic robotic fish mechanical structure optimization design and its performance analysis. In this paper, the bionic robotic fish is composed with four segments, whose length is selected as the decision variables; it selects the deviation value as the optimization objective function that between the robotic fish swing and the real fish body wave curves in a motion period; combined with the length constraint for each segment, it establishes the constraint conditions for the mechanical structure optimization problem. Based on the optimal segments, it establishes the optimized three-dimensional model for bionic robotic fish, which is imported into the Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems (ADAMS) software for the performance analysis, it can provide the theoretical basis for bionic robotic fish design, the simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of mechanical structure optimization design, which improves the maneuverability of the bionic robot fish effectively.
