Abstract

The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) is an AC synchronous motor with a sinusoidal back EMF waveform and field excitation provided by permanent magnets. The PMSM is widely utilized in robotics, actuators, machine tools, and high-power applications, including industrial drives and vehicle propulsion. With the LAUNCHXL-F28379D and DRV8305, this suggested work would provide a way for controlling a PMSM. The Launchpad development kit is easy to use and standardized. The field-oriented control provided by PMSM is highly efficient, does not require a position sensor, and increases dynamic response. These devices allow more precise digital vector control methods, such as field-oriented control (FOC). The FOC algorithm maintains efficiency over a wide range of conditions by analyzing the motor’s dynamic model. This paper model presents a dynamic model for parameter estimation and speed control of a PMSM with the use of F28379D controller.
