Abstract
Currently, intelligent robotic systems have become essential for industries. This paper presents two integrated quality inspection cells designed to be used in the manufacturing industry. The proposed systems combine several measurement technologies, robotic systems, and feeding systems, in order to provide an efficient solution for complex measurements tasks: an image processing system, contact measurement systems, a thread measurement system, non-destructive testing (NDT) principles -all integrated in flexible inspection cells. Additionally, the paper presents the design methodology of the two flexible inspection cells.
