Abstract
This paper presents new methods of CAD-data processing as well as process-planning for robotic cutting and welding tasks as a basis of fully automatic offline-programming. It gives a systematic overview of how to cope with different CAD-model types depending on the boundary conditions of the respective industries. Requirements concerning the steps of process-planning are covered as well as retrieval and transfer of the underlying expert knowledge.
