Abstract

This present study reviews CuAlNiMn Shape Memory Alloy (SMA), which is becoming more widely known for its uses in a variety of fields, including robotics, aerospace, and medical devices. CuAlNiMn SMAs are particularly noteworthy due to their unique thermomechanical properties. The study aims to delineate the modification of CuAlNiMn with rare earth metals by discussing the expected improvements in mechanical properties, thermal stability, and functional performance, thereby enriching material science and engineering knowledge. The findings of this study are likely to significantly enhance the understanding of CuAlNiMn SMAs, assisting in the development of their composition and processing for improved application performance.
