Basketball Arm Shooting Robot Design by Implementing Parabolic Motion

Abstract
Not a few of the existing robotics technologies make robots with movements that are increasingly human-like. One of them is in the field of sports, namely basketball. In a basketball game, a parabolic motion will be seen when throwing the ball. However, it is difficult to see a real parabolic motion when it is carried out at a certain distance. With this research, it is expected to show a design of a basketball arm shooting robot by implementing parabolic motion. This system will be built by utilizing the angular velocity calculation method when throwing the ball. The component that will be used is the Arduino Uno microcontroller as the central controller that will control the movement. This microcontroller will be connected with 3 servos as actuators, XL4015 step-down module, and a capacitor. The result of this study is to design a basketball arm shooting robot by implementing parabolic motion using the Arduino IDE. Through this research, it is possible to find out the best throwing distance, which is a distance of 90 to 160 cm.
