Abstract

This paper introduces an innovative Mars Rover that is designed for autonomous exploration on the Martian surface, highlighting the integration of Nvidia Jetson Nano-powered cutting-edge AI-driven control systems. With cutting-edge mechanical, electrical, and software components, the rover is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of Mars's distinct topography. It includes a durable and innovative suspension system, effective power management, and tools for data analysis and navigation powered by AI, such as MATLAB's RRT* planner for optimal path planning, and navigation system. For independent scientific research on Mars, this combination establishes a new benchmark. The rover has proven to be remarkably capable of negotiating obstacles, interpreting real-time data, and doing scientific study on its own through extensive testing in artificial Martian conditions. This study, which shows how AI might improve the autonomy and effectiveness of next interplanetary missions, constitutes a substantial advancement in the field of space exploration technology.
