Abstract
Papillary fibroelastomas and cardiac myxomas are the most common primary cardiac tumors in adults. Their occurrence is rare and most are benign. Nevertheless, they have the potential to elicit highly morbid complications. The advancement in imaging techniques has led to an increase in diagnosis of these inadvertent neoplasms. We herein present the case of a 71-year-old woman undergoing a minimally invasive robot-assisted aortic valve papillary fibroelastoma excision and repair.
