Abstract

This project is aimed towards management and monitoring small scale greenhouses. A three-axis moving system that can plant, water and monitor moisture levels for plantations in greenhouses as well as household backyards and rooftop terraces. Our foremost challenge to tackle would be able to create a 3 axis mechanical frame that can perform precise movements on fixed co-ordinate system. Another challenge would be to establish effective communication between the mechanical components and phone application. Our primary outcome with this project is to successfully seed a plant and monitor its growth all by using our automated planting robot. Another objective is to establish successful communication between the mechanical components and our phone application for guiding the robot to the specified coordinates and perform the selected task.
