Abstract

Robot application for defense and security is an important topic for research. Proper detection of a weapon and its removal can prevent loss of innocent lives. With such a purpose in mind, this paper proposes an intelligent ground vehicle which has been designed for detecting such landmines and a model of a robotic arm is suggested for its removal and detonation using cost effective methods. Various sensors are implemented for the detection part and a simple servo motor run prototype of a robotic arm is used for removal. The key highlight of this vehicle is that it is driverless and has obstacle detection Moving from point A to point B can be done by the vehicle in which the human interface is only required to give points A and B and also to carefully operate the robotic arm.
