Abstract
The coal mine hoisting system is responsible for the lifting and lowering tasks of underground workers, coal and equipment. As an important part of the hoisting system, the safety performance of rigid guide rail directly affects the safety of coal mine production. In order to solve the problem of low efficiency of manual inspection at present, this paper proposes a new rigid guide rail fault detection robot and detection method. First of all, based on our previous research, a new detection robot prototype is developed. Secondly, a method of detecting rail fault using robot attitude is proposed. Finally, the performance of the robot and the effectiveness of the detection method are verified by field experiments. At present, the robot proposed in this paper is the first robot tested onsite for fault detection of rigid guide rail of coal mine hoisting system. The detection robot system proposed in this paper can improve the intelligent and unmanned level of coal mines, and can also be extended to the detection of railway tracks and elevator guide rails in buildings.
