Abstract

This extension project stimulates students’ interest in maker cultureand various areas of robotics such as mechanics, electronics, andcomputing. The mobile robot educational kit presents differentialsas scalability in production, low cost, flexibility in assembly withoutscrews, and print circuit board project. We researched the literatureon active learning methodologies with a PBL and STEAM approach. With the mobile robotics teaching material created by engineeringand technology students, they teach robotics courses in high schoolsand the community. The ROME is an open-source hardware projectand is available in http://github.com/rosie-projects/rome
