Abstract
Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare but very aggressive tumour of neuroendocrine origin, usually seen in sun‐exposed parts of the body. Very few cases of MCC in the oral cavity have been reported. A new MCC case in the tongue base was reported in our hospital. Prompt diagnosis and early robotic surgery successfully removed the tumour with a clear margin for an early‐stage tumour.
