Abstract
Advancements in biomedical signal processing techniques have led Electroencephalography (EEG) signals to be more widely used in the diagnosis of brain diseases and in the field of Brain Computer Interface (BCI). BCI is a communication system using electrical signals from the brain as an input to control other equipment such as computers, wheelchairs, robotic arm... This paper presents the application of Emotiv EPOC+ - a device that collects signals brain waves to EEG signal analysis and identification of the characteristics of some people's status as ”closed-eyes”, ”opened-eyes”. Use 3 methods as the method of the digital filters, method wavelet transform and the method of independent component analysis (ICA) on Matlab signal processing tools. At the same time construction of the model of intelligent home appliances control through the EEG signal on Labview software.
