Abstract

In our world, more than one Billion people are disabled. These disabled people are affected by various disorders. The neural muscular disorder causes loss of movement of more than one muscle in the body. The physically challenged people and the neural system affected people must depend on other persons for their regular activity. The challenges faced by them can be overcome by using their brain signals as a means to communicate with others.EEG is now commonly used in various fields. Brain-Computer Interface allows a person to communicate and control the external environment without using conventional neuromuscular pathways. Transfer of information between a computer and a brain is now possible using Neurosky Mindwave mobile headset. Various activities of the brain are translated into commands through BCI. The commands are sent to Arduino via Bluetooth and processed. This paper is based on actuating a Robotic arm using commands received from the Brain signals with the help of Neurosky Mindwave mobile headset.
