Abstract
As a traditional assignment of multi-robot system, flocking draws much attention recently and numerous methods are proposed. In this survey we present the flocking research and characteristics which focus on the development in the past six years. A new direction of flocking is proposed in this paper, through which we can realize the flocking in a dynamic environment. With the rapid development of the technology, some novel methods are used to feature extraction. Lastly, we demonstrate the state and possible challenges of flocking and some valuable advices about the development trend of flocking.
