Abstract
The dissertation explores how to transform an on-site construction robot from the conceptual stage to the near market uptake stage. The featured case study is based on the first phase of the consultancy project funded by the Construction Industry Council Hong Kong (CIC). The project explored the potential to implement automation and robotics technologies in the public housing construction sector. The outcome of the study can be summarized as a comprehensive guideline that can be used as a development decision tool to assists the construction industry in the future.
