Abstract
The daVinci Single-Port (SP) surgical system has received approval for application in general thoracic surgery in some countries. However, until recently, it has only been used for simple procedures. Minimally invasive oesophagectomy is a technically complex procedure, but some cadaveric experiments have shown the feasibility of the SP system in oesophagectomy. Herein, we present our first case of single-port plus one port subcostal robotic-assisted minimally invasive Mckeown oesophagectomy (McKeown RAMIE) using the SP system in a patient with oesophageal cancer. This article contains information and tips on performing single-port subcostal McKeown RAMIE using the SP system.
