A Swarm Robot for Harvesting a Paddy Field

Abstract

Indian farmers lead their life by cultivating the crops and fresh vegetables. After the crop cultivation, they yield money in selling it in a profitable way. The main process in crop cultivation is harvesting which is a human behavior to cultivate the product. This chapter addresses to improve the human behavior in a fine way that the PSO swarm intelligent algorithm helps in searching and optimizing the process. The harvesting process has several steps; the first is reaping (cutting), threshing (separating process), and cleaning (removing non grain material from grains). The PSO algorithm will find the positions of all robots to start harvesting and crusted based PSO will help in improving the optimization. As a result, the aim of the episode is to give a summary on harvesting the crop in agriculture field; the main process is orienting the paddy. The simple mathematical operation optimizes the process of harvesting.
