Automated determination of serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase. II. Procedure for the robot chemist.

Abstract

A new and sensitive procedure is described for the automated determination of serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase using the Robot Chemist. Enzymically generated oxaloacetic acid is directly coupled with the diazonium salt, fast ponceau L, to form a colored solution whose absorbance is measured at 455 mµ. Correlations are presented between this method and the AutoAnalyzer procedure using the same reagent.
