Abstract
Topical issues of the energy efficiency of advanced technology, elements of ultra-large-scale systems and its evolving prototypes are discussed. We consider system integration as a process. A conceptual model of technology for energy efficient large-scale system based on bioinspired approach are shown. An intention of “windows of possibilities” is determined for exploratory research and development for heterogeneous robotics and etc. In the paper, convergence of mechatronics, electrical engineering, radio engineering is shown in particular problems of design of pre-smart infrastructure (e.g. smart cities). Examples of the integration components of large-scale systems prototypes are presented.
