Abstract

In the present research, a robotic arm with four degrees of freedom is designed and developed which sorts object on the basis of color recognition technique. The arm is designed with the assistance of SolidWorks and constructed by using a light weight composite material known as plastic wood. Whenever an object is sensed by the color recognition module, it gets detected without any error. With the help of Inverse Kinematics algorithms, the robotic arm’s control input is enumerated and then received by Arduino Mega microcontroller board. After that, the Arduino runs the motors set on the arm to sort and place the objects based on their color. The successful sorting of different objects can be done by this robotic arm. Therefore, this kind of arm can be developed at low cost and used in industrial applications.
