Abstract
In the dynamic realm of medical manufacturing, emerging and inventive technologies are revolutionizing the processes involved in the design, production, and distribution of medical devices to individuals in need of health care. The integration of 3D printing, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) is of particular significance due to the substantial advancements these technologies provide in terms of speed, precision, and adaptability. This chapter aims to highlight the recent advancements in medical manufacturing and evaluate the implications of 3D printing, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) on this domain. This chapter explores the manifold advantages associated with these technologies, encompassing enhanced accuracy, expedited production durations, and heightened levels of customization. Furthermore, this study delves into the various obstacles and constraints associated with these technologies and offers valuable perspectives on the prospective trajectory of medical manufacturing and the significance of these technologies in shaping it. The primary aim of this article is to provide a thorough overview of the present condition of medical manufacturing and to provide a glimpse into the promising prospects that lie in the future.
