Abstract

We know that Robotics application is increasing in our society, with robots being applied in different fields. In the last decades, this multidisciplinary science has also gained space in the area of education. Several studies have demonstrated the success of this practice in different areas and levels of education. Following this trend, this paper aims to demonstrate the development of instruments and techniques for using robotics in classroom as a motivating tool in the teaching-learning process of a foreign language. The research is an experimental study aimed at teaching the English language to children from 6 to 9 years old. The project focused on the development of oral communication skills (speaking and listening) and writing with robotic kits and the motivational state of students in the classroom.
