Efficient design of a metal detector equipped remote-controlled robotic vehicle

Abstract
This paper describes the design and implementation of an electronic metal detector equipped remote-controlled robot that can be used in land mine detection without putting humans in harm's way. The metal detector can detect covered metals and the robot can be controlled wirelessly from a distance. The ideas and concepts from the theoretical stages are molded into the physical hardware components by creation of a prototype. At that point software programs are integrated into the system so as to test and experiment the ideas that had been formed. The robot can be controlled using an app developed for the android platform. The system uses Bluetooth communication to interface the controller and the robot. As directed by the commands received from android, the robot can make regulated movement.
