Abstract
Wireless endoscopic capsules as a novel non-invasive imaging device could be realized through the integration of wireless communication and microsystem technologies. These capsules would open many new health-care opportunities for the diagnosis and treatment of digestive system diseases non-invasively and efficiently. This paper describes our recent research activities which are aimed to enable more functional and controllable robotic endoscopic capsules by the fusion of biomedical, microsystem, and robotics technologies.
