Abstract

Abstract High‐throughput DNA sequence generation, as we currently know it, was enabled over the past 15 years by a variety of technological developments that rendered it a highly automated process. This article chronicles key milestones in technology and the efforts that utilized these technologies in the pursuit of faster, cheaper DNA sequence generation.
