Abstract
Natural and man-made disasters pose significant threats to human life and property. The challenges of rescuing victims trapped in disaster zones are compounded by the complexities of the environment. To address this, we propose an IoT-based Human Detection and Rescue Robot (IoTHDRR). Equipped with advanced navigation and human detection capabilities, the IoTHDRR can operate in hazardous conditions, locate survivors, and provide immediate assistance. By incorporating a gesture recognition system, the robot can effectively interact with survivors and follow basic commands. Comparative analysis with a traditional GPRS-based Human Detection Robot (GPRSHDR) demonstrates the superior performance of the IoTHDRR. This research contributes to the development of innovative robotic solutions for disaster response and rescue operations.
