摘要

Compared with traditional screw-propeller propulsion, bionic propulsion has many unique characteristics. This paper investigated the yaw stability of bionic propulsion in flow field. First, we bulit the dynamic model and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of fish undulatory propulsion in How field. Second, simulations were conducted to explore the influence of the position of rotation center on the yaw stability of robotic fish model. Results indicated that the robotic fish with the rotation center in the middle of the fish body is less affected by the water flow. Finally, by comparing the yaw stability of screw-propeller propulsion and bionic propulsion in flow field, it is found that the bionic propulsion has better yaw stability and is less affected by the water flow. The results offer valuable insights for peers to design and control fish robots with better motion stability.
