摘要
In the year 1990, a laparoscopic revolution occurred where various open surgery has been adapted to minimal access surgery (MAS) which results in less hospital stay, lesser post-operative pain, minimum amount of blood loss, minimal chances of infection, and improved results have made surgeries standard of care. This chapter deals with broad use of robotics surgery, its current trends, an openly challenging issue, and its future. In this chapter, types of surgical robots with their disadvantages and clinical applications of surgery are also explained. This chapter also focus on past surgery done using robots and their success rate.
