摘要

Safety is the most important aspect in all design of a battery system. In order to improve the safety of a lithium-ion battery, the power system must be able to detect, isolate and control the fault in the battery. However, it is important to simulate the state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH) and active cell balancing before designing a fault tolerant control for the battery power system. In this paper, a complete 12-cell 50Ah battery power system using MATLABTM/Simulink <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">TM</sup> was performed. A simple fault control algorithm to shut down the entire battery system automatically in the event of a failure was simulated successfully.
