摘要

Robotics has transformed the construction sector by providing creative answers for duties including demolition, inspection, and maintenance. Various ways that robots are used in these fields is explored. Remotely controlled demolition robots have improved safety and effectiveness in hazardous areas by lowering operator hazards and enabling precise control. Particularly, the use of three-armed designs has increased the reach of these robots, allowing access to previously inaccessible spaces and a 360-degree field of vision. Robots have been essential in many building tasks, shifting the focus to inspection and maintenance. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are a popular option for surveying and keeping an eye on constructed areas. These adaptable drones provide rapid deployment, agility, and thorough data collecting angles, leading to regular inspections that save costs and dangers. Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) are capable of transporting large payloads, are stable, and can operate successfully in tight locations like bridge decks, pipelines, and storage tanks. Innovative grasping mechanisms are used by wall-climbing robots to evaluate high-rise buildings, while cable-crawling robots are experts at examining suspension and cable-stayed bridges and marine robots do underwater infrastructure inspections. Additionally, microbots with hinges may move in a manner similar to worms or snakes, opening the door to more detailed examinations. Even though they are sophisticated, legged robots can go over different terrains and up several stories of buildings. These robot varieties can work together to form hybrid or multi-robot systems, boosting the capability of missions. Robotics integration in construction and inspection highlights improved safety, efficiency, and accuracy, significantly changing the picture of the sector.
